About the Author

 

This web site has been written and published by Stewart Farquhar (the Author).

Stewart has been working in IT for over 10 years in the Call Centre Environment.  During this time he has progressed through support, development, systems management, infrastructure design and deployment, project management and senior management roles with various contact centre and IT consultancy companies.

His experience in email management has matured from email systems development and support, systems architecture of multi-site deployment and management, creation of surrounding policies and procedures to ensure safe and legal information and communication technology systems (including acceptable use policies for email and computer use).

The scope of email product knowledge covers both Unix and Windows email server products and client applications, anti-virus, spam and content filtering technologies.  This includes the use of email managed service providers.

The author has gained the following university qualifications:

  • BSc Hons. Software Engineering

  • MSc. Information Management

  • MBA Technology Management

 

During the latter post-graduate qualification, his chosen MBA project was on "Email Monitoring iin the UK Workplace: the Challanges for the Technology Manager" - of which some material from this research study programme is detailed within this web site.
